How can veneers help shape my smile?
Veneers are more than just a temporary cover or support. A good insert can change the look of your smile. It can fill gaps, cover misshapen teeth, chips, or breaks, and rid your smile of visible discolouration or wear and tear. At Ashwood Dental, we can fit your smile with custom porcelain or composite veneers, depending on your preference. You don’t need unsightly braces or uncomfortable dentures to feel confident with your smile. Book your consultation to get started with this procedure today!
What is the difference between porcelain and composite?
The difference between these two types is in the material. Both of these types are fitted to the outer surface of the tooth to get rid of unsightly dental concerns like breakages.
Porcelain veneers are resistant to stains and catch light in the same way a tooth does, for a more natural look.
Composite veneers are made of resin. Resin can be applied faster than the other type, which typically takes 2-3 appointments to apply.
Do veneers look natural?
Every set is custom-made at Ashwood Dental. Whichever type you choose will look entirely natural with your smile. Grin bright, confident, and beautiful with a veneer from Ashwood Dental today!
What does this procedure look like?
Each type has a slightly different application process. The composite process consists of adding resin to your teeth, curing it, and polishing it. Porcelain, on the other hand, requires removing a layer of your teeth, taking an impression of your teeth, getting the mould back from the lab, and attaching it to your teeth.
Are veneers right for me?
At Ashwood Dental, we believe in transparency and communication with our patients. This is why our expert dental team is always available to answer questions about this procedure to help you find out if it might be the right choice for you.

How long will my veneers last?
An advantage of porcelain is that the lifespan of this mechanism is much longer than other types. It can last between 10 and 15 years, while composite only lasts between 4 and 8 years. If you want long-term benefits, making a more substantial initial investment in porcelain could mean a longer lifespan by up to 11 years. Don’t fret, though. Proper care and ideal circumstances can allow even composite to last just short of a decade.
